The term ‘Gutsabfüllung’ can only be found on the label of a wine made exclusively from grapes grown by the company. Any wine that does not have this written on the label was made from grapes, must or wines from outside the company. The term ‘Abfüller’ or ‘bottler’ will be found on the label in this instance.
When ‘Abfüller’ is found on the back label of a wine from Reichsrat von Buhl, it means the wine was vilified from grapes that were both own-grown and bought in. In this case, the grape growers worked to our strict cultivation criteria and were monitored by us. All of our wines are vinified by Mathieu Kauffmann and the von Buhl team.
